Baseball season is underway and Trader Joe’s has signed up with Mariners Care, the Seattle Mariners non-profit foundation, to help fight hunger!
How? Every time a Seattle Mariners player hits a 350’ home run at Safeco Field, Trader Joe’s will donate $100 to the Emergency Feeding Program (EFP) of King County, which provides crisis hunger response and resource counseling to people in need
This isn’t the first time that Trader Joe’s and the Seattle Mariners have teamed up to help fight hunger.
2010: Trader Joe’s donated $10,000
2011: Trader Joe’s donated $7,500
As we all know, every dollar can go a long way towards helping our hungry neighbors. So let’s cheer on our Seattle Mariners. Because the better they swing, the bigger the hit against hunger.
